KTM India has announced the launch of their 2023 model range in our market, and the latest iterations of these motorcycles comply with the newest emission standard. The list includes the 2023 RC 390, which retains all the features and specifications from the previous model while benefiting from the onboard diagnostic system.
Meanwhile, the company continues to offer the motorcycle in two colours – KTM Factory Racing Blue and KTM Electronic Orange. Both colour options retain black paint for the chassis and the alloy wheels, while the sub-frame is painted orange on the KTM Factory Racing Blue theme. The graphics are similar on both paint options and the 2023 model continues to feature a ‘KTM’ decal that runs across the fairing and the fuel tank. An ‘RC 390’ badge and a ‘KTM’ logo are also visible on the fairing and the fuel tank, respectively.
The styling cues remain unaltered as well, and the 2023 KTM RC 390 retains a single-pod headlight, a full-fairing design, a 13.7-litre fuel tank, a clip-on-style handlebar, split-style seats, a side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. The mechanical specifications, similar to the 2022 model, use a 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Bosch electronic fuel injection system. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor continues to deliver the same 42.9bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 37Nm at 7,000rpm as the 2022 version.
The 2023 KTM RC 390 is available in a single variant and has been priced at Rs. 3,18,173, making it marginally more expensive than the 2022 version. This motorcycle rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RR 310 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 in the Indian market. The competition will expand with the arrival of the Yamaha YZF-R3, which is scheduled to arrive in our market very soon. In fact, several Yamaha Motor India dealers have commenced unofficial bookings for the YZF-R3.
