The newly launched 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have started to arrive at dealerships in India. For 2023, Royal Enfield has updated the motorcycles with new colourways and features.
The 2023 Interceptor 650, for example, will be sold in four colourways. The list now includes two blacked-out variants (Black Ray and Barcelona Blue), a new custom dual colourway (Black Pearl), and a solid colourway (Cali Green). Royal Enfield will sell these new paint options alongside the Mark 2, Sunset Strip, and Canyon Red colours. The Continental GT 650 will be available in two new blacked-out versions (Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey) that will be sold alongside the Mr Clean, Dux Deluxe, British Racing Green, and Rocker Red paint themes.
Apart from adding new colours to the list, Royal Enfield has introduced cast alloy wheels to its 650cc motorcycles. These will be available on the blacked-out variants of the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 as standard. Meanwhile, other paint themes continue to use wire-spoke wheels. Furthermore, the company has also revised the seat for enhanced comfort, Super Meteor 650-style switchgear, a USB charging port, and an all-new LED headlamp. Meanwhile, the motorcycles retain the twin-pod instrument cluster and dual-channel ABS from the previous versions.
Unlike the styling and feature list, the mechanical specifications remain unchanged. Thus, the 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 retain the 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled motor. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine is tuned to deliver 47bhp at 7,150rpm and 52Nm at 5,250rpm. The 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is available from Rs. 3,03,000, while the Continental GT 650 has been priced from Rs. 3,19,000 onwards. The bookings for these motorcycles have commenced across the country, and the deliveries should start very soon.
