The 2023 Suzuki Avenis with OBD2-A compliance has been launched in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 92,000 onwards. This 125cc scooter, which rivals the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125 in our market, is available in two variants – Standard and Race Edition. The differences between these two variants are limited to visuals in the form of their respective paint themes.
The standard model is available in four colour options – Pearl Mirage White with Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey, Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey with Metallic Lush Green, Pearl Blaze Orange with Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Matte Black with Glass Sparkle Black. The Race Edition, on the other hand, is listed in a single paint theme – Metallic Sonic Silver with Metallic Triton Blue. This variant also benefits from a MotoGP-inspired livery that enhances the sporty design of the scooter. Check out the variant-wise prices below:
Variant | Price (ex-showroom, Delhi) |
Standard | Rs 92,000 |
Race Edition | Rs 92,300 |
Do note that the paint options do not affect the ex-showroom prices of the Avenis 125. Thus, all paint options under the standard variant are available at Rs 92,000. Meanwhile, the Race Edition, which is available in a single paint option, has been priced at Rs 92,300. The styling cues across both variants include an apron-mounted headlight, tall-set front turn indicators, sharp body panels, side-slung exhaust, and a two-piece pillion grabrail.
The mechanical specifications on both variants include the same 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor as the BS6 version. This engine is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 8.5bhp at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500rpm. However, from 2023 onwards, the Avenis will come equipped with an On-board Diagnostics System that will detect and indicate faults in the vehicle system.
As for rivals, the Suzuki Avenis competes against the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Grazia, Hero Maestro Edge 125, and Yamaha Ray ZR in the Indian market.
