- Gixxer range available in three colours
- Pearl Mira Red removed from the list
- Prices start from Rs 1,40,500
Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the 2023 Gixxer range. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer offers the Gixxer range in two displacement segments and four variants. The entry-level model, which is powered by a 155cc engine, is available in two variants – Gixxer and Gixxer SF.
Both motorcycles are now available in three colours – Metallic Sonic Silver with Pearl Blaze Orange, Metallic Triton Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black. Meanwhile, the Pearl Mira Red has been removed from the list. The paint options are identical for both motorcycles. That said, the 2023 iteration of the roadster model is available at Rs 1,40,500, while the fully-faired version is Rs 5,000 more expensive and is priced at Rs 1,45,500.
Apart from a revised colour palette, the 2023 range also benefits from Bluetooth connectivity that works with Suzuki Ride Connect. It brings additional features such as turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alert, SMS alert, WhatsApp alert display, missed call alerts, speed exceeding warnings, phone battery level display, and the estimated time of arrival.
The mechanical specifications on both variants include the same 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces a maximum output of 13.41bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 13.8Nm at 6,000rpm.
The Gixxer roadster rivals the Yamaha FZ series, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, and Hero Xtreme 160R in the Indian market. Meanwhile, the Gixxer SF competes against the Hero Xtreme 200S.
