Triumph Motorcycles India has commenced the pre-bookings for its upcoming and most-affordable products, the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400x in our market ahead of their imminent launch. These new motorcycles, which will be manufactured by Bajaj Auto in Maharashtra, India, were unveiled at an event in London, UK.
Both products are listed on the company’s India website, and interested buyers can pre-book these motorcycles by paying Rs. 2,000 (fully-refundable). All the details regarding the styling, feature, and specifications are available on Triumph Motorcycles India’s website. However, the pricing will be listed post its India launch on 5 July, 2023.
These new motorcycles from the Anglo-Indian partnership use a 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with a dual-overhead-camshaft and a four-valve setup. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm.
The Speed 400 is a road-biased motorcycle, and it packs 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends. Meanwhile, the Scrambler 400x benefits from 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The latter also gets a relatively longer suspension travel rating. The feature list across the range comprises full-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a traction control system, and a dual-channel ABS.
Triumph Motorcycles will also offer several optional accessories for these motorcycles.
