Triumph has taken the veils off the 2023 Street Triple 765 range. And the updated lineup comprises three variants: R, RS, and Moto2 Edition. In this story, we’ll have a close look at the limited edition Street Triple 765 Moto2.
Firstly, the Moto2 Edition looks identical and has the same design as the standard models. What separates it from the pack is the set of mechanical updates that Triumph has employed.
The Street Triple Moto2 gets a set of clip-on handlebars, giving it a much more aggressive rider triangle. That said, the twin LED headlights have been retained and so have the bar-end mirrors.
Powering the Moto2 Edition is an inline 765cc liquid-cooled engine with an output of 128.2bhp and 80Nm. For reference, the race bikes make just 10bhp more than this variant. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter.
Meanwhile, all the firepower is contained by a slew of rider aids. The list includes five rider modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider), cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and dual-channel ABS.
The hardware setup too on the Triumph Street Triple Moto2 trim is top-notch. It comprises fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, NIX30 forks, and an STX40 piggyback reservoir monoshock. The braking system includes 310mm front discs with Brembo calipers and a 220mm rear disc.
The Moto2 Edition also gets carbon fibre parts and is limited to just 765 units. It gets a 15-litre fuel tank and weighs 188kg.
In the UK, the 2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition is priced at GBP 13,795 (approximately Rs 12.78 lakh sans taxes). That said, it's limited to the international market and won’t be launched in India.
