- Up to Rs 75,000 more expensive now
- Official launch scheduled for 16 July
- Both bikes get a host of updates
Triumph is all set to launch the 2023 Street Triple R and the Street Triple RS in India on 16 July, 2023. Interestingly, ahead of their official launch, we have got our hands on the prices of the motorcycles. The colour-wise ex-showroom (Mumbai) prices of the 2023 Street Triple R and RS are mentioned below:
Street Triple R
Crystal White: Rs. 10,16,640
Silver Ice: Rs. 10,43,220
Street Triple RS
Silver Ice: Rs. 11,81,410
Carnival Red, Cosmic Yellow: Rs. 12,07,120
While the higher-spec RS is around Rs 46,000 more expensive than before, the R is as much as Rs 75,000 dearer than its predecessor. But we are glad to report that the hike is justified considering the updates these bikes have received. Initially, they were scheduled to be launched on 15 March but the company kept postponing it for unknown reasons.
Triumph has improved both the variants of the Street Triple on many fronts. Both bikes are more powerful, electronically more advanced, and more agile now. These enhancements have been achieved by changing the engine internals, revising the geometry, adding better cycle parts, and re-engineering the electronics, especially traction control and cornering ABS. Now, the RS churns out 129bhp and 80Nm, while the R is good for 118bhp and 80Nm. Moreover, Triumph has redesigned the Street Triples to make them look sharper and more athletic.
In February this year, Triumph took us to Spain for the road ride and track ride review of the Street Triple R and RS, respectively. Do check out the reviews in case you’re planning to buy either of these two.
