Triumph has updated its popular middle-weight street bike, the Street Triple RS, for 2023. The motorcycle gets a bunch of updates which make an enticing package even more attractive. Before the motorcycle comes to the Indian shores, let’s check out some of its drool-worthy images from the brand’s catalogue.
Triumph has sharpened the design of the motorcycle by bestowing its bug-eye headlamps with sharper cuts while making the fuel tank extensions more pointed. Even the underbelly cowl and tail section look chiselled.
The British bike maker has introduced three new colour options for the bike – Silver Ice, Carnival Red, and Cosmic Yellow. Now, how many of these colours make it to India remains to be seen.
The motorcycle has also received internal changes in its engine for performance enhancements. It is powered by a 765cc, inline triple-cylinder motor that produces 128.2bhp at 12,000rpm and 80Nm at 9,500rpm.
For 2023, the already premium hardware package has become even better. The suspension setup, for instance, now incorporates Showa’s 41 mm USD Big Piston Forks (BPF) and STX40 piggyback reservoir monoshock from Ohlins.
Similarly, the braking hardware, sourced from Brembo, is high-class. There are two 310mm floating discs with four-piston radial monobloc callipers up front and a 220mm rotor at the rear.
The motorcycle is equally impressive in terms of electronic aids as the package consists of five riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, cruise control system, a lap timer, and a five-inch TFT display.
We expect Triumph to launch the 2023 Street Triple RS in the next few weeks in India. It competes against the Ducati Monster, BMW F 900 R, and Kawasaki Z900.
