Update (14 March, 2023 06:00 PM IST): Triumph Motorcycles India has postponed the price announcement for the 2023 Street Triple range.
- Indian launch on 15 March, 2023
- Bookings open across India from December 2022
- Deliveries likely to commence from April 2023
Triumph Motorcycles India will update its portfolio with the launch of the 2023 Street Triple RS and Street Triple R on 15 March, 2023.
The Indian arm of the British marque commenced the bookings for this middleweight motorcycle range in December 2022, and its deliveries are scheduled to start in April 2023. In fact, interested buyers can customise the motorcycles with optional accessories via the online configurator. Unlike the international markets, India will get two variants of the 2023 Street Triple 765 range – RS and R. Meanwhile, the limited-edition Moto2 variant will not be sold in our market.
For 2023, Triumph Motorcycles has brought several updates to its middleweight roadster range. The styling cues comprise a sharper design for the twin-pod LED headlight inspired by the company’s flagship roadster motorcycle, the Speed Triple 1200 RS. The company has listed all colour options on its India website. Thus, the India-bound Street Triple 765 R will be available in two colour options – Silver Ice and Crystal White. The Street Triple 765 RS will be sold in three paint themes – Silver Ice, Carnival Red, and Cosmic Yellow.
Apart from revising the styling, the company has also updated the mechanical specifications on the latest iterations of the Street Triple range. Thus, this motorcycle series retains the 765cc, inline-three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor is tuned to deliver 118.4bhp at 11,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm on the Street Triple 765 R. Meanwhile, the performance-spec RS version makes 128.2bhp at 12,000rpm and 80Nm at 9,500rpm from the same engine.
We expect the 2023 Triumph Street Triple R to arrive in the price range of Rs. 9.5-10 lakh. The more premium RS, with its premium hardware, could retail in the Rs. 11.50-12 lakh price bracket. Once launched, the Street Triple range will rival the likes of the Ducati Monster and BMW F900R in the Indian market.
