TVS recently updated the Apache RTR 160 4V to give the Bajaj Pulsar N160, Suzuki Gixxer and Hero Xtreme 160R a run for their money. While the changes don’t make the bike completely new, they surely add more value to the package.
New colour
The most visible change to the 2023 Apache RTR 160 4V is the new paint scheme. Called ‘Pearl White’ the new colour is a combination of matte white and bright red that features on the wheels, in the form of a stripe on the fuel tank and dual-tone seat.
Tweaked exhaust
In addition to the new colour scheme, the new Apache RTR 160 4V also sports a redesigned exhaust. While it gives out the same double-barrel look as before, the new unit is sleeker. Moreover, it is also claimed to be 1kg lighter than the previous unit along with having a tweaked exhaust note.
Adjustable levers
Further adding value to the whole package are the adjustable clutch and brake levers. These were previously available on the limited-edition RP variant only and are a first in the segment.
Pricing
The 2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh, the same as the special edition that was launched last year in Matte Black. That said, even the latter receives the same upgrades as the new model.
What remains unchanged?
The motorcycle continues to be powered by the same 159cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 17.4bhp and 14.7Nm. It comes mated to a five speed gearbox. Moreover, its feature list also remains the same. There is a full-LED headlamp with LED DRL, three ride modes and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. Other than that, even the suspension and braking hardware remains the same as before.
