Suzuki has unveiled the 2023 V-Strom 1050 range for the international markets, and the Japanese brand’s flagship adventure-tourer gets several updates over its predecessor. However, the Indian launch details about this motorcycle are not available yet. While we await that announcement, here we bring you all the details about the new Suzuki V-Strom 1050.
New Names
Suzuki has renamed the off-road variant of the motorcycle and the XT badge is now replaced by the DE tag. Thus, the off-road biased version is now called V-Strom 1050DE. This off-road-spec model can be had in another form, christened V-Strom 1050DE Adventure, which gets hard panniers as standard.
Updated Features
The 2023 V-Strom 1050 range benefits from a new design for the TFT screen. The electronic rider aids include lean-sensitive ABS, hill hold, cruise control, riding modes, and traction control. Further, the DE versions of the motorcycle now benefit from a bi-directional quickshifter and new Gravel traction control mode. This mode switches off the rear ABS.
More Off-Road Ready
The V-Strom 1050DE is now more off-road ready with a bigger front wheel. The 2023 model gets a 21-inch front wheel along with a wider handlebar and footpegs. Meanwhile, the road-biased version retains the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels.
Colours
All these three variants get different shades, and the base model is available in Metallic Reflective Blue with Metallic Matte Black No. 2 colours. The DE and the DE Adventure variants are listed in Pearl Vigor Blue with Pearl Brilliant White and Champion Yellow No 2 with Metallic Matte Sword Silver colours, respectively.
Engine
The mechanical specifications remain unchanged and the 2023 V-Strom 1050 range continues to draw 107bhp and 100Nm from the 1,037cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled motor. However, the company has revised the gearbox with a longer first and last gear and an overall closer gear ratio between the first five cogs.
