- Available in four standard and three special edition trims
- Remains unchanged mechanically
Yamaha has introduced its maxi sport-scooter, the Aerox 155, in seven new swanky colour options. However enticing that might sound to the Indian folks, it’s unfortunately available only in Indonesia for now.
The colour palette of the Aerox 155 comprises four standard trims and three special edition colour variants. The former bunch includes Cyan Silver, Metallic Red, Black Silver, and Yellow Blue. All of these paint schemes sport dual-tone colours with jazzy graphics on the front apron and side panels. But the version which is even more eye-catchy than these is the special-edition Cyber City trim sporting multi-colour panels, red wheels, and edgy red and white graphics.
The other two special edition variants, namely Prestige Silver and Maxi Signature look more premium and opulent with golden wheels and graphics and single-tone body colour. Apart from these visual updates, the 2023 Aerox 155 remains unchanged in all other aspects.
Powering the maxi-scooter is an R15 V4-sourced 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation technology. This unit is mated to a CVT transmission setup and churns out 14.7bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.9Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The feature list, meanwhile, is just as impressive with an LED headlamp, an LED tail lamp, a charging socket, a large 24.5-litre boot, an external fuel filler, and a Bluetooth-enabled LCD console which displays a lot of information.
In India, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is available in standard and MotoGP variants which are priced at Rs 1.41 lakh and Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
