Yamaha Motor India recently updated its motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the 2023 YZF-R15, MT-15, FZ-S, and FZ-X. Now, the company is expected to introduce the updated variants of its scooters very soon. While the Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer is yet to announce the launch details, the type approval certificate has revealed the specifications of the upcoming scooters.
2023 Yamaha Fascino, Ray ZR: Specifications
This document lists three models – Fascino S, Cygnus Ray ZR, and Cygnus Ray ZR Street Rally. All three scooters will use a 125cc, single-cylinder motor that will come equipped with an onboard diagnostics (OBD-II) system that monitors the emission levels in real-time. This engine will deliver a maximum output of 8bhp at 6,500rpm.
2023 Yamaha Fascino, Ray ZR: Styling and Features
The company may also revise the colour palette and add new options to the list. Meanwhile, the design will remain unaltered and the scooters will carry the same styling cues as their respective outgoing versions. The feature list, too, should remain unchanged. Thus, the 2023 range should retain LED lighting and Bluetooth connectivity.
2023 Yamaha Fascino, Ray ZR: Expected Prices
The updated models may carry a marginal price increase over the existing versions. However, we do not expect to see a major difference in the ex-showroom price tags. Currently, the Fascino 125 is available from Rs 77,100, while the Ray ZR and Ray ZR Street Rally have been priced at Rs 82,230 and Rs 91,030, respectively.
