- 2023 models also get LED indicators
- MT 15 V2 gets dual-channel ABS now
- FZ S FI Deluxe receives Bluetooth connectivity
Yamaha has launched the 2023 iteration of the FZ-X, MT 15 V2, and the FZ S FI Deluxe in India. While these motorcycles have received a couple of updates, the most interesting of them is the inclusion of the traction control system. Notably, this is a feature the R15 V4 received during its launch in September 2021.
Traction control is a feature that would be available only in bigger and more powerful motorcycles until a few years back. It’s a safety system which cuts or reduces power to the engine if there’s any wheel spin detected under aggressive acceleration, thereby saving the rider from low siding or high siding. Now, considering the aforementioned Yamaha offerings aren’t overly powerful, the relevancy of TCS in these bikes is questionable. However, it does give them and their owners some bragging rights.
Besides the introduction of the traction control system, the FZ-X, MT 15 V2 and the FZ S FI Deluxe, along with other Yamaha bikes, have received on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) system which will be mandatory in all two-wheelers from April 2023. Other updates include the incorporation of LED indicators in all three motorcycles, dual-channel ABS in MT 15 V2, and Bluetooth connectivity in the FZ S FI Deluxe trim. Lastly, The FZ-X and MT 15 V2 will be available in a new colour option as well.
Mentioned below are the ex-showroom prices of the updated motorcycles:
FZ S FI Deluxe: Rs 1,27,400
FZ-X (Dark Matte Blue): Rs 1,36,900
MT 15 V2 Deluxe (Metallic Black): Rs 1,68,400
