- Gets a new paint scheme
- Likely to be OBD 2-compliant
- Could be launched soon
Earlier today, we came across spy shots of the 2023 Yamaha R15 and the MT-15. And now, the updated MT-15 has also been spotted alongside. Here’s what we know about it.
The new images reveal the FZ-X with a new paint scheme of dark blue with golden wheels. This looks similar to the current model on sale. However, Yamaha could launch another variant that was teased earlier. It featured a high front fender and dual-channel ABS as well. So, it won’t be surprising if Yamaha finally offers the FZ-X in two trims.
While the 149cc single-cylinder motor dishing out 12.2 bhp and 13.3 Nm is likely to remain unaltered, Yamaha is expected to make the FZ-X OBD 2-compliant. This translates to the addition of a new sensor to monitor real-time emissions. Apart from that, the front telescopic forks, rear monoshock, and front and rear disc brake setup will also be retained on the 2023 Yamaha FZ-X. You can expect it to continue the same features as the current model.
With the aforementioned changes, we expect the asking price to go up by a small amount. For reference, the FZ-X is currently priced at Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
