India Yamaha Motor has launched the MT 15 V2 MotoGP Edition in India, as a part of ‘The Call of the Blue’ campaign. Besides the MT 15 V2, the company has also launched the MotoGP Editions of the Yamaha R15 V4.0 and the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid scooter. Meanwhile, the MotoGP Edition of the Yamaha Aerox 155 maxi-scooter will be launched soon.
The special edition model gets the Yamaha MotoGP livery on the fuel tank, tank shrouds, and side panels. The Yamaha MT 15 V2 MotoGP Edition is priced at Rs. 1,72,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it Rs. 1,500 dearer than the DLX version. The special edition model will be available in limited numbers. Meanwhile, there are no changes to the equipment list or specifications.
Powering the Yamaha MT 15 V2 MotoGP Edition is a 155cc, liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.1Nm at 7,500rpm. The single-cylinder engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
