Yamaha India recently launched the OBD2-compliant MT-15 in India. The 2023 model can now be bought in as many as six colours. Let's take a look at all the paint options. The latest options to join the MT-15 V2's colour palette are Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black. Along with these are four existing paint schemes: Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-Vermillion, Racing Blue and Metallic Black DLX. All these paint schemes.
The Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic DLX give the bike a dual-tone paint scheme. The alloy and tank decals/extension colours match and contrast the remaining bodywork. This makes the bike look even more enticing than a single-tone option. However, if you fancy the latter, Metallic Black, Racing Blue and Dark Matte Blue are your three choices.
Dark Matte Blue (new): Rs. 1,64,900
Metallic Black (new): Rs. 1,64,900
Cyan Storm: Rs. 1,68,900
Ice Fluo-vermillion: Rs. 1,68,900
Racing Blue: Rs. 1,68,900
Metallic Black DLX: Rs. 1,68,900
Apart from the new paint scheme, the 2023 MT-15 also benefits from the OBD2-compliant 155cc single-cylinder engine dishing out 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm. The new updates help the bike monitor real-time emissions unlike the previous model’s lab-tested results only. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Meanwhile, the MT comes loaded with features like LED illumination, VVA (Variable Valve Actuation), and smartphone connectivity as well. The latter is only available for the Y-Connect edition and gives you access to call alerts, SMS and e-mail alert, phone battery level, last parked location, and malfunction notifications. The safety net for the MT-15 comprises ABS and a traction control system.
