Yamaha Motor India has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the 2023 model range. This list includes the company’s 155cc fully-faired motorcycle, the YZF-R15 V4.

For 2023, this KTM RC125-rival is available in three colour options – Metallic Red, Racing Blue, and the newly added Dark Knight. All three paint themes come with a contrasting shade for the alloy wheels. Further, the Metallic Red colour gets a black finish to the wheels. The Racing Blue and Dark Knight paint themes come with blue and golden coloured alloy wheels, respectively. These paint options affect the ex-showroom prices of the YZF-R15 V4. The Metallic Red paint theme is the most affordable colour option on the list while the newly added Dark Knight variant is Rs 1,000 more expensive than the former. The Racing Blue paint theme carries the highest price tag in the YZF-R15 V4 range.

Meanwhile, the mechanical specifications remain unaltered, and the 2023 Yamaha YZF-R15M continues to use the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system as its predecessor. However, the 2023 model comes equipped with onboard diagnostics (OBD-II) system that monitors the emission levels in real time. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor produces a maximum output of 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm.

The YZF-R15 series rivals the likes of KTM RC125, RC200, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and Bajaj Pulsar RS200 in the Indian market.
