-Aprilia’s flagship superbike
-Powered by a 1,099cc, V4 engine
-Goes up against the Ducati Panigale V4 S
Aprilia India has launched the 2024 RSV4 Factory in India at Rs 31.26 lakh, ex-showroom. The RSV4 Factory is Aprilia’s flagship superbike and here are some of the highlights.
Beginning with the glorious engine, the RSV4 Factory is powered by a 1099cc, liquid-cooled, V4 engine that develops 214bhp at 13,000rpm and 125Nm at 10,500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox that has a quickshifter for seamless up and down shifts. One of the biggest highlights of this engine is its refinement and the sound that is reminiscent of a MotoGP bike.
The engine is nestled inside a dual beam aluminium frame that has a fully adjustable, 43mm USD, Ohlins electronic suspension at the front with 125mm travel. At the rear, there is an Ohlins electronically adjustable monoshock with 115mm wheel travel.
Braking duties are taken care of by twin, 330mm discs at the front with Brembo Stylema calipers at the front wheel while there’s a 220mm disc at the rear with Brembo 2-piston callipers. The bike tips the scales at 202kg.
With the Aprilia RSV4 being a flagship superbike, it is only obvious that it is loaded with a comprehensive electronics suite. The list includes six ride modes, lean sensitive traction control and ABS, engine maps and engine brake control settings. All of these features are accessed via a colour TFT display.
As before, the Aprilia RSV4 continues to be quite the looker with its beautiful Italian design. Bits like the LED headlights, the shape of the side fairings and the sleek tail section look nice and so does the neatly integrated front wing.
The Aprilia RSV4 Factory goes up against the Ducati Panigale V4 S that’s priced at Rs 33.47 lakh.
