The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been around for years but refuses to go off the market. The bike received a new set of updates for this year to bring it par with the competition. Here is all you need to know
Design
The updates to the 2024 Pulsar 150 include new graphics on the headlight cowl, fuel tank and its extensions, and the tail sections. The side panel gets a neat-looking carbon fibre sticker as well. These graphics manage to liven up the appearance of the Pulsar 150. That said, the body panels have remained the same for years. Some may like the ‘classic’ look of the bike but there is no getting away from the fact that the design has grown long in the tooth.
Features
The bike features a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity. This allows the rider to pair a smartphone with the cluster using a dedicated app. Once paired it shows incoming calls and message alerts. The bike gets a simple halogen headlight, halogen indicators and an LED tail lamp. ABS is present as well.
Engine
Powering the bike is a 149.5cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 13.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.25Nm at 6,500rpm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The engine is known for its refinement and fuel efficiency. That said it isn’t as modern as the competiton.
Hardware
Under the bodywork the bike has a double cradle frame that is suspended by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels shod with tubeless tyres. The variant seen here is the one with a disc brake at either end. There is another variant with a drum brake at the rear.
Price
Bajaj has priced the 2024 Pulsar 150 at a starting price of Rs 1.13 lakh, ex-showroom. It goes up against the Honda Unicorn.
