Bajaj Auto has updated one of its oldest-running models, the Pulsar NS200, for 2024 in India. While the motorcycle has remained mechanically unchanged, it has received new features which seem to have given it a new lease of life. These updates make it more relevant in the current crop of modern motorcycles.
Bajaj has finally bestowed the Pulsar NS200 with a fully digital instrument cluster, something that has been asked for for a long time now.
This cluster is a negative LCD unit which shows all the necessary information and can be connected to the rider’s smartphone via Bluetooth.
Once connected, the LCD gives access to mobile notifications and call management features while turn-by-turn navigation is also available. Plus, a USB charging port has been included in the package now.
The Pulsar NS200 also gets what was long overdue – an LED headlamp. In fact, the bike gets not only a full-LED headlamp with LED DRLs but also LED turn indicators.
The rest of the aspects of the motorcycle remain unchanged, including the 199cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 24.13 bhp and 18.74 Nm and it is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
It is underpinned by a steel perimeter frame that rides on 17-inch wheels and comes suspended by USD forks and a monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The prices of the Pulsar NS200 start from Rs. 1.41 lakh but the new Bluetooth-enabled 2024 edition sets you back by Rs. 1.57 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
