-Based on the Heritage Classic
-Part of the limited edition Icons Collection
-Powered by a 1868cc, V-twin engine
Harley-Davidson has taken the wraps off the 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival in the US. The motorcycle is part of the company’s Icons Collection series and it is limited to 1,750 units worldwide. It is based on the Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic but features a special design, colourway and other bits that make it stand out.
The design, to begin with, is reminiscent of the 1949 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide. From the shape of the fenders, the dual-tone fuel tank, the tall windscreen, to the visual domination of the big V-twin engine and the long exhaust pipes, the 2024 Hydra-Glide exudes the charm of motorcycles from that bygone era.
The special red paint adds to the appearance of the bike and so does the chrome embellishments across the motorcycle. Other bits that grab attention are the studded and piped leather seat and saddlebags, replete with tassels. The saddlebags are lockable and weather proof. Lastly, there’s a plate on the handlebar that denotes the serial number of the bike, adding to the specialness of the Hydra-Glide
Powering the Hydra-Glide is a 1868cc, V-twin engine that churns out 94bhp at 4,750rpm and 161Nm at 3,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The frame is suspended by a 49mm telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. The bike rides on 16-inch chrome steel laced wheels. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by a disc brake at either end.
The 2024 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival is priced at $24999 in the US or Rs 20.7 lakh going by current exchange rates. If the bike comes to India, expect the price to go up by a few lakh considering duties and taxes.
