- Looked ready for production
- To get the same engine as the Karizma XMR
- Official launch expected to take place soon
Hero MotoCorp has been spied on testing the next-generation 210cc model of its adventure motorcycle, the Xpulse 200 4V. While the bike was camouflaged in the previous spy shots that surfaced in September, the bike looked production-ready this time around. This might be an indication that its official launch might be just around the corner.
The biggest change the Xpulse will receive is the bigger 210cc engine as opposed to the 199cc unit in the existing model. We have already seen this liquid-cooled motor in the new Karizma XMR. However, Hero would certainly have changed the tuning of it for the Xpulse which, typical of ADVs, has a punchy low-end torque delivery. On the Karizma, this engine produces 25.15bhp and 20.4Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
What other changes it will get is not known to us as of now. But we believe Hero might take this as an opportunity to introduce subtle cosmetic tweaks, new colours, and perhaps additional features. The hardware package, meanwhile, might remain unchanged. It rides on a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear spoke wheel with a long-travel suspension setup. The Xpulse’s light kerb weight of 159kg, 220mm high ground clearance, and minimalistic body panels make it a great leaner’s off-road motorcycle.
The upcoming Hero Xpulse 210 will certainly be more expensive than the Xpulse 200 4V which starts from Rs. 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
