Hero MotoCorp updated its Xtreme 160R for 2024 with a handful of new bits while retaining a majority from the 2023 model. It also comes with a revised asking price and if you are smitten by the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R, then here are five things you should know about it.
Same design new colour
The 2024 Hero Xtreme retains the design from before and looks identical. So, it packs the same muscular bodywork with good road presence. Now, the bike also comes in a new paint scheme of Kevlar Brown which is a shade of brown with black golden-coloured accents elsewhere. Another slight change with the 2024 model is the inclusion of the single-piece seat instead of the split seat.
New Features
The Xtreme 160R already packed LED illumination and a fully digital screen. But it now comes with dual-channel ABS and a panic brake alert system. The console now gets a drag race timer to record the 0-60kmph sprints.
Same Engine
Even in its latest iteration, the Hero Xtreme 160R uses the same 163.2cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 16.6bhp and 14.6Nm. It is linked to a five-speed gearbox. We expect it to have the same character as the outgoing model.
Unchanged Hardware
Along with the engine, the updated Hero Xtreme 160R 4V’s hardware also has been carried over from before. It rides on the same USD forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock. The braking duties are done by a single disc at both ends and are mounted to 17-inch alloys.
Price
With the said updates, the asking price for the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R is set at Rs. 1,38,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it Rs. 2,000 more expensive than the outgoing Premium variant.
