- Honda ADV 160 updated
- No other changes
- Could rival the Xoom 160
Hero Motocorp revealed its first adventure-style scooter called the Xoom 160 at the EICMA 2023. However, Honda already had its adventure scooter iteration- the ADV 160 on sale and has updated it for 2024.
For the new model year, Honda has added a new colour option to the ADV 160’s colour palette. The new paint is called the Pearl Bosporus Blue and is teamed up with black on some parts of its bodywork. This colour option joins the other three already on offer- Matt Black, Pearl Smoky Grey and Matte Dahlia Red. Other than the new paint, the Honda ADV 160 remains the same. Its bodywork is inspired by the Honda X-ADV and comes with rugged-looking bodywork with a tall windscreen and step-up single-piece seat.
Powering the ADV 160 is a 156cc, four-valve engine with an output of 16bhp and 15Nm. The motor comes with an idle start-stop system, eSP (enhanced smart power) tech, and ACG starter as well. As for features, the Honda ADV 160 gets Smart Key that is also offered with the Activa in India, 29L of storage capacity overall, a smartphone charging socket and an emergency stop signal. It also gets LCD instrument cluster and LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp.
Now Honda has not announced or revealed the launch of the ADV 160 in India. However, if it is launched in India, it would go up against the Hero Xoom 160 which is scheduled to be launched sometime in 2024.
