- Honda CBR650R updated for 2024
- Gets new styling and features
- Could be launched in India in 2025
The Honda CBR650R has received a model year update that has been showcased at the ongoing EICMA 2023 in Italy. The sports-touring motorcycle receives significant updates for 2024.
To begin with, the motorcycle is now sharper with a design language that leans more into the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade than before. While it doesn’t stray too far away from the previous generation, it is surely fresh. What is even more interesting is the introduction of the Honda E-Clutch system as an option. This automatic clutch system allows the conventional use of the clutch as well but adds 2kg to the weight of the motorcycle. In addition to this the Honda CBR650R comes with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), dual-channel ABS, full-LED lighting and a five-inch TFT screen with connectivity.
That said, Honda is offering the CB650R with two accessory packs- Racing and Comfort. The Racing kit offers a quickshifter, colour-matched pillion seat and a taller smoked screen. It also comes with a carbon-look tank pad, an oil-level gauge, and tank grips too. The ‘Comfort’ pack includes heated grips, a three-litre tank bag and a 15-litre pillion seat bag.
Powering the 2024 Honda CBR650R is the same inline-four cylinder motor that has an output of 94bhp and 62.3Nm. The motorcycle uses 41mm Showa Separate Fork Function- Big Piston front forks and a 10-step adjustable rear shock. Braking hardware is done by dual 310mm discs for the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear. Now, the CBR650R will make its way to international markets soon but is only likely to be launched in India early next year.
