Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles recently launched the 2024 edition of its bobber offering, the Perak in India. The motorcycle has not just received a visual makeover but the overall hardware has also received multiple tweaks which may not meet the eye but promise to improve the overall riding experience. Here’s a quick look at these changes.
2024 Jawa Perak hardware updates
The company has executed major tweaks within the engine to reduce the NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) levels. It boasts of a revised gear tooth for better mesh quality, new gearbox covers for nicer shift sound, and a new crankshaft for mitigating the stress levels on the engine for a more refined riding experience.
To make the bike more versatile and suitable for a broader range of riding scenarios, Jawa has changed the gear ratios and throttle mapping of the Perak. The company says that these changes have helped make it better for not just city riding but also for highway cruising. Other alterations to reduce NVH levels include an updated piston skirt profile and cast iron liner in the cylinder block. Furthermore, the suspension setup has been revised for sharper handling dynamics.

The new Stealth model of the Perak boasts of a dual-tone combination of matte grey and matte black paint scheme. Moreover, the tank badging and fuel filler cap sport a brass finish while there’s a new quilted tan seat as well. Plus, the company tweaked the overall seating ergonomics of the Perak by moving its footpegs forward by 155mm.
Despite these changes, the Perak continues to be priced the same as before at Rs. 2,13,187 (ex-showroom).
