Kawasaki India has launched the 2024 Ninja 650 in India. The bike has received minor tweaks for this year to meet the emission standards. Let’s take a look at its top five highlights.
Design
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 650 features a two-piece headlight that contributes to a majority of its fascia. The Ninja 650’s overall profile is quite youthful and sharp. From its pointed nose to the side panels and the bulky bodywork, the Japanese sports tourer seems likeable. It also gets an underbelly exhaust, which makes the right side profile look quite tidy. The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is available in the Lime Green paint scheme.
With the two-piece handlebar setup neutrally and slightly rear-set footpegs, the Ninja 650’s riding posture is engaging. That said, it should also be suitable for long hours.
Features
Along with an LED headlight, the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 650 gets a TFT screen. It houses all the basic readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level readout, tachometer, gear position indicator, and clock too. Then, there’s smartphone connectivity which gives you access to calls, SMS alerts and more. Kawasaki offers rider aids like traction control, and ABS on the 2024 Ninja 650.
Motor
The latest iteration of the Ninja 650 has received minor tweaks to its motor as it now meets the latest emission norms. But with that said, it still gets the same 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that dishes out 67.3bhp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox. With the latest updates, it is now E20 fuel compliant.
Hardware
Even the hardware on the Ninja 650 remains unaltered. It rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock. The braking hardware comprises dual front discs and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. This setup is mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped in 120/70-section front and 160/60-section rear tubeless tyres.
Price
Kawasaki has priced the 2024 Ninja 650 at Rs. 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That’s Rs. 4,000 more than before. If you are looking for other options in the same segment, then there’s the Honda CBR 650R, and the CFMoto 650GT.
