The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is one of the last of its kind as inline-four supersport offerings are gradually disappearing from the global motorcycling scene. That’s one of the reasons it’s a special motorcycle, besides a few other things, all of which we have elaborated on in our first ride review.
Now, since it’s a handsome-looking motorcycle, we pick some of its best shots from our review for you to gawk at along with a quick summary of the review.
The ZX-6R stays true to the Ninja heritage with an aggressive, front-squatting stance, a menacing and angry front fascia, and a skyward-pointing tail section.
Enhancing its visual appeal further is a bold ‘6R’ decal running from its fairing to the fuel tank, a lovely rear cowl, and a chunky exhaust canister with a chrome-finished tip.
The highlight of the motorcycle is, of course, the 636cc, inline four-cylinder engine that screams its way to the 15,000rpm redline and makes the bike blasts ahead at an incredible pace.
As potent as the engine is, it’s equally tractable and doing low speeds at higher gears is easy which makes the bike quite manageable in the city.
To tailor your ride as per your liking, the Showa suspension setup is adjustable front and back. Even in the stock setting, it delivers a plush ride quality through poor roads with low-amplitude undulations.
It’s not a technology marvel through and all you get as a part of the electronic aids package is two power levels, four traction control levels, three preset riding modes, one customisable riding mode, and ABS.
The latest iteration has also received a new colour TFT screen which shows decent amount of information in a clearly legible format. However, navigating through different options is slightly complicated.
Kawasaki brings the Ninja ZX-6R to India via the CBU route but it has still managed to price the bike enticingly at Rs. 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
