- Priced at Rs. 7.77 lakh
- Gets two new paint schemes
- Costs the same as before
Kawasaki India has launched the 2024 Versys 650 in India. The Japanese adventure tourer has received a cosmetic update in the form of two new paint schemes – Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Matte Dark Gray.
Both paint schemes offer a dual tone combination where the primary colours – red and green – are paired with a contrasting black paint. Then, there is a white line too running on the side panels and the headlight cowl. Apart from the said change, the 2024 Kawasaki Versys 650 remains identical to the 2023 model. It features the same, sharp-looking, split LED headlight topped by a transparent visor.
Even the engine, hardware, and features are untouched for the 2024 Versys 650. It is powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that makes 65.7 bhp and 61 Nm. The setup is paired with a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a slipper clutch.
Its features include LED illumination, a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, a USB charging port, switchable traction control, and ABS. The hardware for the Versys comprises USD forks with preload and rebound adjustability, which makes it convenient for the rider to alter the overall response as per the road conditions. Then, the braking duties are done by dual 300mm front and a single 250mm rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels shoed with 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyre.
The addition of a new paint scheme may be a nice touch but a substantial refresh would be the addition of more features like ride modes, which would make the Versys an even more friendly bike for someone looking to upgrade to their first big-capacity motorcycle.
The 2024 Kawasaki Versys 650 is priced at Rs. 7,77,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is the same asking price as before.
