Kawasaki has unveiled the 2024 edition of its popular 650cc streetfighter, the Z650 that will be sold in international markets.
Now, the model year update brings about new paint options to the mix. So the Kawasaki Z650 is now available in Metallic Matte Dark Gray with Metallic Spark Black that is the stealthier option. If international customers want something flashy, Kawasaki is offering the Z650 in Candy Persimmon Red with Ebony. However, it is only available in the ABS version.
Other than that, the 2024 Kawasaki Z650 remains the same as the model sold in India. It gets full-LED lighting for the headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators, a Bluetooth-enabled TFT display. It was already updated with the traction control system for 2023; a feature that the Z650 RS now receives. That said, it continues to come powered by the tried-and-tested 649cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 67bhp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
While the Kawasaki Z650 has a number of rivals in global markets, it doesn’t have a true competitor in India in the 650cc segment. The only motorcycle that even comes close is the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
