Kawasaki India has launched the updated Z900 in India at Rs. 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to the older model, the new one costs Rs. 9,000 more but retains all the mechanicals, features, hardware, and other bits.
The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 is available in two colours – Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey. It features a single-pod LED headlight, a muscular fuel tank, split seats and an aggressive bodywork overall. The Z900 looks quite enticing and would appeal to buyers looking for a butch-looking bike with plenty of road presence.
It is powered by a 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It makes 123.6bhp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. This setup is housed in a trellis frame suspended on USD front forks and a monoshock. Then, the brakes on the Kawasaki Z900 include dual 300mm front discs and a single 250mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and a 180/55 rear Dunlop tyre.
The list of features on the Kawasaki Z900 includes traction control, power modes (low and full), riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider) ABS, full-LED lighting, and a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display.
In its segment, the Kawasaki Z900 rivals the Ducati Monster, BMW F900R, and Triumph Street Triple range in the Indian market.
