- Gets an all-new 390 Duke-like design
- Hardware package majorly updated
- India-spec model might be slightly different
The KTM 125 Duke has received its biggest update yet! The Austrian bike maker has globally unveiled the 2024 edition of the baby duke and it has been changed on almost every front. While we wait for its official India launch to take place, let’s see what the international-spec model has to offer.
First up is the fresh styling that’s almost identical to the new 2024 390 Duke. Hence, you get a bodywork that’s even more alien-like and eye-catchy. The headlamp looks bolder while the fuel tank extensions are sharper and more muscular. The rear section is equally interesting as it doesn’t get any body panels and the revised sub-frame is fully exposed. Moreover, the new orange and black paint scheme only elevate the fancy visual persona of the bike.
The 2024 KTM 125 Duke has also been comprehensively overhauled on the hardware front. There’s an all-new steel trellis frame, a pressure die-cast aluminium sub-frame, an offset monoshock from WP, and a new curved swingarm. KTM has also employed lighter alloy wheels borrowed from the new RC series and shod it with upmarket Michelin Road 5 tyres. The braking setup, meanwhile, comprises a 320mm disc up front and a 240mm rotor at the rear. In typical KTM fashion, the 125 Duke impressive features like a TFT dash and dual-channel ABS with an option to turn it off for the rear wheel. Powering the bike is the same 124.9cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.7bhp and 11Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The India-spec model of the 2024 KTM 125 Duke, which is expected to be launched soon, might be different from the international version. KTM might use more budget components for the bike to keep the costs in check.
