- Features a brand-new design
- Comes with LED illumination and a new TFT
- Powered by a 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine
KTM has taken the wraps off the latest generation of the 125 Duke in Europe. It continues to be the smallest model in the Duke family and has now received significant updates for 2024. These changes have been made on the cosmetic, mechanical, and feature front.
With the larger - 250 and 390 Duke - being updated radically, it was natural for the 125 Duke to follow suit. So, it now comes with a revised LED headlight, a chiselled fuel tank with notably larger shrouds than before, and a split seat with the rear subframe exposed. KTM has offered two paint schemes on the 2024 125 Duke – blue with orange and blue with black. We expect the same to be offered in India as well.
Powering the new KTM 125 Duke is a 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 14.75bhp and 11.5Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and nestled in a steel trellis frame. The setup is suspended on WP Apex USD front forks and an offset monoshock. Its brakes include a 320mm front and a 230mm rear disc with switchable dual-channel ABS. The 2024 KTM 125 Duke rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Road 5 tyres.
The features listed on the smallest Duke include LED illumination, a TFT with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and media control, as well as supermoto ABS. However, KTM is likely to offer the India-based model with an LCD dash and MRF tyres, similar to the new 250 Duke. This would help the brand mitigate the cost.
For reference, the 2024 KTM 125 Duke is priced at GBP 4,899 (approximately Rs. 5.16 lakh sans taxes) in Europe. This makes the bike significantly more expensive than what it would retail for in India. However, you can expect the new 125 Duke to be priced slightly higher than the current-generation model which retails at Rs. 1.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
