- Gets a new black and blue paint scheme
- Powered by a 249cc, SOHC motor
- Produces 30.57bhp and 25Nm
KTM India recently introduced a new black and blue paint scheme for the 250 Duke. With this update, the motorcycle is available in three colour schemes – black and blue, Ceramic White, and Electronic Orange.
The black and blue shade brings an aura of understated elegance, compared to the flashy Ceramic White and Electronic Orange shades. The introduction of the new colour scheme comes on the back of the falling sales numbers of the KTM 250 Duke in the last few months. It not only offers more choices to customers but should also help KTM revive the sales of the 250 Duke.
Powering the KTM 250 Duke is an all-new 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that gets a single overhead camshaft. An optimised cylinder head and a larger airbox have resulted in a power output of 30.57bhp and a peak torque of 25Nm, which are marginally higher than that of its predecessor. The motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and slipper clutch.
The KTM 250 Duke is possibly the sharpest handling motorcycle in its class, courtesy of its new trellis frame and suspension setup that has been tuned for sporty dynamics. It also gets lighter wheels and a die-cast aluminium sub-frame.
In terms of features, it comes packed with a ride-by-wire throttle system, bi-directional quickshifter, slipper clutch, and a Bluetooth-enabled LCD console. Despite all the changes over its predecessor, the 2024 KTM 250 Duke is priced at Rs. 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), which is similar to the older model.
