- Gets all-new styling and colour options
- Comprehensively updated on the hardware front
- India launch expected to take place early next year
KTM has globally unveiled the 2024 edition of its quarter-litre street bike, the 250 Duke. Similar to its bigger 399cc sibling, the 250 Duke has also received comprehensive updates on the visual and hardware front.
The detailed specifications of the motorcycle haven’t been officially revealed yet. However, what we can decipher from the released images is that it gets an all-new trellis frame that is accompanied by a 790 Duke-like aluminium sub-frame. It doesn’t get panels at the rear and the sub-frame makes up for the tail section of the bike. Moreover, there’s a new banana-type swingarm accompanied by an offset monoshock. It also seems to be running different, presumably lighter, alloy wheels along with larger and lighter disc brakes.
The major highlight of the 2024 model of the 250 Duke is KTM’s new-age styling that looks even more radical than before. The pointed fuel tank extensions stretch out till the front forks and the split-type LED headlamp still looks insect-like but slightly bolder. Enhancing its visual appeal further is the new paint scheme. As for the features, sitting on its tubular handlebar is a new display which could be a TFT but we can confirm that only after more official images surface. What we are sure about is that this dash will show a lot of information and offer Bluetooth connectivity.
The existing model of the KTM 250 Duke is priced at Rs 2.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Looking at the nature of updates the next-generation model boasts, the price increment might be substantial. Now, we are eagerly waiting for its official launch which is expected to take place early next year.
