- To be launched in early 2024
- Likely to get a new 399cc engine
- Expected to get more features
The next-generation KTM 390 Duke has been spied on test yet again in India. This is the second instance that the motorcycle was spotted testing within a week. Last week, the motorcycle was seen testing alongside the next-gen Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
Features
The 2024 KTM 390 Duke will likely offer segment-leading features like IMU-based lean-sensitive cornering ABS, a traction control system, and perhaps riding modes. This is besides the existing set of features that are available on the current model. The new 390 Duke is also expected to get adjustable suspension at both ends.
Engine Specifications
The new-gen KTM 390 Duke is likely to draw power from a new 399cc, liquid-cooled engine, which is expected to offer more power and torque compared to the current version’s 43bhp and 37Nm. The engine will be married to a six-speed gearbox.
Launch Date and Pricing
Contrary to media reports and rumours, the new 390 Duke is unlikely to be launched in India this year. The motorcycle will make its global debut at the EICMA motor show in Milan, Italy in November 2023, followed by its launch in India in early 2024. The global launch will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the KTM Duke nameplate.
