- KTM 790 ADV launched in US
- Gets feature updates over previous model
- No word about India launch
KTM has launched the 2024 790 Adventure in the USA a few months after unveiling the motorcycle for international markets.
The motorcycle takes on other big ADV players like the Yamaha Tenere 700 and the BMW F850 GS. Powering the motorcycle is a 799cc, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 93.8bhp and 87Nm. The six-speed gearbox benefits from an assist and slipper clutch and a two-way quickshifter as an option.
KTM has added a new airbox on the 2024 790 Adventure and retained the cornening traction control, ABS and ride modes. It even comes with an interesting ‘Demo’ mode that allows customers to trial the optional riding extras for 1500kms before deciding what to purchase.
Hardware on the KTM 790 Adventure consists of WP Apex forks and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear with 200mm travel on offer. Other features include full-LED lighting, and a Bluetooth-enabled TFT display that offers access to calls, music and turn-by-turn navigation.
While the KTM 790 Adventure has made its way to the USA, there is no word about it being launched in India anytime soon. However, there were rumours about it making its debut here after a few images of the motorcycle in India had surfaced a couple years ago.
