Royal Enfield recently launched its most popular model, the Classic 350 with a few updates. The bike now packs even more features than before and here are five things you must know about it.
Same design with new colours
Even the 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets the same design as the older model. It retains the retro look with the round headlight, a small beak, abundant chrome, and the overall bulky appearance. However, the bike now gets new colours including Emerald, Jodhpur Blue, Commando Sand, Madras Red, Medallion Bronze, Sand Grey, and Stealth Black. That said, the alloy wheels are exclusive to the last option.
New features
Although it retains the styling, the Classic 350 now gets new features, including LED headlights and position lights, a gear position indicator, and a USB-C charging port. Apart from that, ABS continues to be the safety net.
Unchanged engine
Powering the 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the proven J-series 349cc, single-cylinder, engine that makes 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox and in our experience of riding the 2023 model, the motor packs oodles of torque with a nice thumping melody from the exhaust.
Slightly updated hardware
The 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 also gets adjustable clutch and brake levers, along with new features and colours. That said, the double cradle frame, telescopic front forks with dual rear springs, spoke wheels with tubed tyres and the braking hardware remain unchanged.
Revised asking price
With the small revisions that the Classic 350 has received for 2024, it now costs Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it about Rs. 7,000 more expensive than before and it rivals the Honda H’ness CB350 and the Jawa 350.
