TVS Motor Company had a couple of announcements to make at the 2023 MotoSoul. Among new TVS Ronin concepts and the collaboration with Alpinestars, the brand also launched the 2024 Apache RTR 160 4V. So, what is new in the 2024 model? Here is everything you need to know.
New colour option
TVS hasn’t changed the design on the new Apache RTR 160 4V. So, it continues with the same aggressive lines all over its bodywork. The motorcycle features a full-LED headlamp and a brawny-looking fuel tank while the rear end is sculpted to look muscular too. While all of these are the same as before, what is new is the Lightning Blue colour scheme. This is derived from the company’s race machines and is teamed with red on the RTR 160 4V. It sports red on the wheels and pillion seat as well.
New hardware
The 2024 Apache RTR 160 4V is also fitted with new hardware. It gets a new exhaust canister that is a larger, one-piece unit rather than the split unit on the previous model. That said, it also gets a larger, 240mm rear disc as standard.
New feature
The list of features on the Apache RTR 160 4V included the Glide Through Technology, a Bluetooth-enabled LCD screen. The new model now comes with three ride modes and dual-channel ABS as well.
Same engine
Powering the motorcycle is the same tried-and-tested 160cc, single-cylinder motor that churns out 16.2bhp at 8,000rpm and 14.8Nm at 6500rpm. The motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Pricing
TVS has priced the 2024 Apache RTR 160 4V at Rs 1.35 lakh, ex-showroom. This pricing makes it around Rs 5,000 more expensive than the Special Edition that costs Rs 1.32 lakh.
