- SmartXonnect variants get a few visual add-ons
- Prices start from Rs 73,700
TVS has finally launched the next-generation Jupiter 110, after keeping it mostly unchanged for more than a decade. The new model brings a host of updates to the table which includes six new colour options.
The new Jupiter is available in four variants – SmartXonnect Disc, SmartXonnect Drum, Drum Alloy and Drum. The former two variants are available three colour options including Dawn Blue, Galactic Copper Matte, and Starlight Blue Gloss. Meanwhile, Drum Alloy and Drum variants come in a choice of four colours named Starlight Blue Gloss, Titanium Grey Matte, Lunar White Gloss, and Meteor Red Gloss. Besides the colour scheme, what sets the higher two variants apart is the presence of a dual-tone seat, reflectors on front forks, and a sleek LED DRL which has been given a miss on the lower two trims.
All these colours adorn a new bodywork which looks sharper and sportier than before while retaining the family-scooter visual persona. The 2024 Jupiter also runs on a slightly bigger 113.5cc engine that produces 8hbp and 9.2Nm. This unit is armed with a new IGo assist for an added punch to make overtakes easier. Furthermore, TVS has employed a new chassis that has been borrowed from the Jupiter 125. This has allowed the brand to move the fuel tank under the floorboard, thereby increasing the boot space.
Typical of TVS offerings, the new Jupiter 110 comes equipped with an impressive number of features. All the vehicle data is shown on a new LCD which shows a host of information and, in the higher two variants, offers Bluetooth connectivity. Once connected to the smartphone, this display gives call and SMS alerts and enables navigation.
The prices of the new TVS Jupiter 110 start from Rs. 73,700, ex-showroom which is almost the same as its predecessor. It competes against the likes of the Honda Activa and Hero Maestro Edge.
