- Teased on multiple occasions
- Likely to boast a fresh design
- Could get a Jupiter 125-like large boot space
TVS Motor Company is all set to launch the next-generation model of its highly popular Jupiter 110 in India tomorrow, 22 August. The scooter has been teased on multiple occasions, giving a glimpse of what looks like a part of its headlamp.
The teaser video shows a glowing LED DRL strip which seems to have integrated turn indicators. It looks like the DRL runs through the entire length of the front apron. This will be a unique and futuristic design element which we haven’t seen in scooters so far. Considering the overall bodywork of the Jupiter has largely remained the same since its debut in 2013, a major visual makeover is much needed. We also expect TVS to introduce the new Jupiter 110 in multiple fresh colour options.
TVS might also equip the new Jupiter with some new features such as a mobile charger and a remote fuel filler cap. In fact, TVS might integrate the fuel tank within the floorboard, similar to the Jupiter 125, thereby facilitating the scooter with more boot space. Even the instrument cluster could be updated with a new display with more data on offer. Smartphone connectivity should certainly be retained along with a new navigation system. As for the mechanical specifications, they might remain largely unchanged.
The prices of the existing TVS Jupiter start from Rs. 73,340, ex-showroom. Considering the updates on the cards, the prices will go up to a certain extent.
