- Available in standard and ABS variants
- Each variant comes in two colour options
- Technical specifications are the same as the India-spec model
Yamaha has launched new colours for the Aerox 155 in Malaysia, where it’s called the NVX 155. The Japanese bike maker sells two versions of the scooter in the country including standard and ABS with varying prices. While the former costs RM 9,998 (Rs. 1.74 lakh), the latter is pegged at RM 11,698 (Rs. 2.04 lakh).
The standard version of the Aerox 155, or the NVX 155, is available in Blue and Bronze colour options while the ABS trim comes in the choice of Cyan Sky and Premium Navy paint schemes. The latter two boast slightly edgier graphics and golden alloy wheels, unlike the standard variant’s black alloy wheels. Besides the difference in colour and the availability of ABS, both variants are identical in the rest of the areas.
In Malaysia, powering the Aerox 155 is the same VVA-equipped, 155cc, liquid-cooled engine as in the India-spec model. This unit churns out 14.75bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. It rides on large 14-inch alloy wheels with telescopic forks and dual springs. The list of features includes a 5.5-litre fuel tank, an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, and a keyless ignition system courtesy of the recent introduction of a smart key. The kerb weight of the Aerox 155 stands at 126kg while the seat height and ground clearance measure 790mm and 145mm, respectively.
