The 2024 Yamaha R15M MotoGP edition has been launched in India at Rs 1.98 lakh, ex-showroom. This is, essentially, the R15M in the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team colours.
The paint scheme is quite similar to the one seen on the YZR-M1 MotoGP machine. While the primary colour is black, there are streaks of blue and silver across the fairing with the Monster Energy logo displayed prominently on the side fairing. For those who follow MotoGP, having a bike painted in the factory racing team colours will be an added draw.
Mechanically, however, this motorcycle is the same as the other variants in the Yamaha R15 range. It is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 18bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
In terms of features, the R15M has a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity as well as turn-by-turn navigation.
The Yamaha R15M is also available in a silver colour and the recently launched Carbon Fibre Pattern.
