-Gets primary and secondary winglets
-Power output increased by 5bhp
-Launch control added to the standard package
Adding winglets seems to be a design mandate for every manufacturer these days. The most recent motorcycle to have received them is the 2025 edition of the Aprilia RS 660. But that’s just one of the many updates the motorcycle has received. Let’s take a look at them.
Aprilia has completely redesigned the fairing of the bike by adding two large winglets sitting under the headlamp along with smaller secondary wings behind them. Besides handling the task of generating downforce at higher speeds, these wings also contribute to diverting hot air from the engine and radiator away from the rider.
The 660cc, parallel-twin engine is now more environment-friendly as it complies with new Euro5+ emissions norms. Fortunately, Aprilia has made sure this hasn’t caused a drop in performance. In fact, the bike makes around 5bhp more at 105bhp courtesy of larger 52mm throttle bodies, up from 48mm. The electronics package has seen the addition of launch control for 2025. Features carried forward from its predecessor include multi-level traction control, wheelie control, cruise control, engine brake control, cornering ABS, and multiple engine maps. All of it can be monitored and tweaked on a five-inch TFT screen.
The 2025 Aprilia RS 660 will be available in two colour options – Venom Yellow and Blue Marlin. The 2024 model of the bike is currently on sale in India at a price tag of Rs. 17.74 lakh, ex-showroom. The new model should arrive on our shores sometime after it reaches dealerships in the international markets.
