Ather Energy has launched the updated 450X in India. While the model has been on sale for a few years, it has now received a list of changes. Here are five of its top highlights.
Same design, new colours
While the 2025 Ather 450X now packs more features, changing hardware and more, it houses all of the updates under the same bodywork. The 450X continues to look identical and retains its sporty design with a dash of new colours - Hyper Sand and Stealth Blue. These are offered alongside the existing palette that comprises - True Red, Lunar Grey, Cosmic Black, Space Grey, and Still White.
More Features
One of the areas where the Ather 450X has received the most updates is its feature front. It now gets three traction control modes - rain, Road, and Rally—and a Magic Twist regenerative braking system. If you opt for the Pro Pack, then there are even more features, including Google Maps, Alexa pairing, WhatsApp notification on dashboard, Ping My Scooter, and live location sharing.
More Range
With a change in the tyres, Ather has extracted more range from the 450X. It claims that the e-scooter now offers 105km for the 2.9kWh variant whereas the 3.7kWh trim gets 130km range. That’s 20km and 25km more, respectively.
Revised Hardware
While the suspension setup and the braking hardware have been carried over, the 2025 Ather 450X benefits from Zapper N e-Tred tyres which the brand has co-developed with MRF. These are said to reduce the rolling resistance by 25 per cent and thereby increase the range.
Higher asking price
Ather has priced the 450X 2.9kWh model at Rs. 1.47 lakh, while the 3.7kWh trim retails at Rs. 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This makes both trims Rs. 6,400 and Rs. 2,000 more expensive than before.
