-Lighter by 3kg
-Gets new colours
-Gets new windscreen and hand guards
The 2025 BMW F 900 XR has been unveiled in international markets. The bike has received few yet significant changes over its predecessor.
Beginning with the visuals, the F 900 XR gets the same fairing and other body panels as the previous bike. However, in 2025, it gets a new wind screen that should offer better and more comprehensive wind protection. It also gets new handguards on the handlebar. BMW has introduced three new colours- Racing Red, Triple Black and Lightwhite with Racing Blue Metallic.
BMW has also thrown in a lot of electronics as standard on the bike. The bike has LED DRLs, adaptive headlights, heated grips, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and engine drag torque control as standard. It also gets BMW ABS Pro and Dynamic Brake Control.
Under the bodywork, there is a steel frame that is suspended by a new 43mm USD fork with preload, compression and rebound damping adjustment. At the rear, there is a monoshock. The bike rides on new 17-inch wheels that are 1.8kg lighter than the wheels on the previous bike and contribute to the new F 900 XR‘s 3kg lighter weight. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by twin discs at the front and a disc at the rear.
Powering the bike is an 895cc, twin-cylinder engine that makes 105bhp. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. BMW says it has retuned the Dynamic ride mode for a sportier feel.
The new BMW F 900 XR is expected to go on sale in India in a few weeks.
