BMW Motorrad has taken the wraps off the 2025 edition of the S 1000 RR for the international markets. The litre-class track missile has received changes to its bodywork that are as functional as they are visual. That said, here’s a quick look at what’s updated on the motorcycle.
If you thought the winglets of the previous model were too bold for a road-going bike, the ones on the latest edition are even more outrageous.
The winglets aren’t just big visually but they also generate way more downforce than its predecessor, 30kg at 300kmph to be precise. BMW has also integrated brake cooling ducts into the front fender.
The S 1000 RR has received a 58-degree quick throttle from the M 1000 RR to help the rider put down more power than before on giving a certain amount of throttle input.
On the electronics front, Race Pro riding mode comes standard on all variants and joins the existing Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race modes.
Other electronic aids available on the bike are traction control, slide control function, ABS with brake slide assist, hill start control, bi-directional quickshifter, launch control, and pit lane limiter.
The 2025 model continues to be powered by a 999cc, inline-four engine that features Shiftcam variable valve control technology and produces 206.51bhp and 113Nm.
The 2024 BMW S 1000 RR is available in three variants in India – standard, Pro, and Pro M Sport with prices ranging between Rs. 20.75 lakh and Rs. 25.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
