Gets a revised front fascia
Looks mechanically unchanged
BMW Motorrad seems all set to lend a fresh design to its super naked, the S1000R for 2025. The registered design of the bike has leaked online giving away details about the nature of updates it will get.
The 2025 version of the S1000R will clearly adopt a new fascia with a more minimalistic yet more aggressive headlamp design which resembles the Ducati Streetfighter to some extent. Interestingly, that’s the only aspect changed by BMW and the rest of the bodywork remains identical to the existing version including the large radiator cowl, fuel tank, fenders, and the tail section. Also, the iteration seen in the leaked picture is that of the standard variant of the motorcycle as it gets conventional alloy wheels instead of carbon wheels and a slimmer lower section than the M Sport trim.
The upcoming model of the S1000R gets a small air intake between the two LED headlamps and the steering damper is clearly visible underneath it, which is not the case with the outgoing model. The rest of the aspects of the motorcycle look unaltered including the engine, wheels, suspension, and brakes. As of now, the S1000R uses a detuned 165bhp version of the S1000RR’s motor and doesn’t get ShiftCam variable valve timing technology as its sportbike sibling. Now, in order to know whether this has been changed and if BMW has given the R trim the same 210bhp motor as the RR, we’ll have to wait for the bike’s official debut to take place.
