-Gets restyled bodywork
-Bigger winglets incorporated
-Pro riding mode is now standard
BMW Motorrad has taken the wraps off the 2025 edition of its litre-class sportbike, the S 1000 RR, for the international markets. The new model is just a cosmetically different iteration of its predecessor while being largely the same on the mechanical front.
The front fascia of the 2025 model looks more bulbous than before with a curvier headlamp cowl. The winglets have also grown in size and they are almost as big as on the M 1000 RR. They are also functionally more efficient and generate more downforce than the previous model. The size fairings, similar to the 2009 model, boast an asymmetrical design with an exit vent on the left side and gills on the right. Moreover, BMW has integrated brake cooling ducts into the front fender to cool down the disc brakes during track sessions.
On the feature front, the Pro riding mode and M Quick-Action throttle now come standard. It continues to be powered by a 999cc, inline-four engine that produces 206.51bhp and 113Nm. The list of electronic aids available is as long as ever with traction control, slide control function, ABS with brake slide assist, four ride modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race), hill start control, bi-directional quickshifter, launch control, and pit lane limiter.
The BMS S 1000 RR is available in three variants in India – standard, Pro, and Pro M Sport with prices ranging between Rs. 20.75 lakh and Rs. 25.25 lakh, ex-showroom. The new models will certainly demand some premium over the existing models.
